First, thanks for taking the time to visit my hub site. To me writing on hubpages has helped me to find a great community that can flex my creativity and improve my writing skills while meeting some interesting people at the same time. If you haven’t joined hubpages yet I encourage you to sign up and give it a try!
I am a fourth year college student majoring in civil structural engineering. I love looking at the mechanics behind buildings, machines and the general world around us. Currently I am co-oping (a fancy term for interning) at an airline where I design repairs for damaged airplanes.
I have been a Resident Assistant for a freshmen girls’ dorm for 3 years and have loved meeting and mentoring young women who are trying to find their niche in college. My site will offer some advice of lessons I have learned and watched others learn along the way.
I am involved in Relay for Life as my college's Team Education and Fundraising Chair. In the past I have been on Relay's recruitment committee and been a team captain. Relay is the number one fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. I relay for my gradparents, all of them, who all lost their battle before I was born. I would like to help create a world in which every person can live to see their grandchildren and spoil them the way only grandparents can. We all know someone who has battled cancer. If you would like to help me create a world with more birthdays please click here to donate or contact me for more information on how you can start an event or help in your area!
Though I am pursuing a career surrounded by math and science my real love is more of a domesticated engineering. I love anything DIY, crafts, cooking, and baking
