Aid for Children of El Salvador is a charity set up to (unsurprisingly) help the children of El Salvador.  The primary objective is the relief of need, hardship and distress among children in El Salvador.

It is a registered charity, number 1082386, constituted by a Delcaration of Trust dated 13 May 2000 as amended by deed of variation dated 29 July 2000.

Founding member Bron Soan was moved by the plight of children living on the side of a waste tip in San Salvador, the capital.  She bought a property and with a Salvadoran friend, Coralia, began to reach out to the children.

Following the death of Archbishop Oscar Romero in 1980, the charity was named the Amor Foundation (standing for Association Monseigneur Oscar Romero, but also meaning love) and still runs under that name now.

The ACES charity in the UK raises funds to support the work of the foundation.  The foundation provides education, healthcare, school fees, meals for up to 80 children, as well  as providing outreach workers to help and support children wherever possible.
