Testimony of Harry Mendell Smith Jr. I remember that it was on the 15th of March, 1960, when I was 15 years old, that I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior. We were having a Youth Revival at the Church of the Nazarene. It was on a Wednesday night in Canoga Park, California. The Evangelist was Ivan Sisk and I think he was the Youth for Christ president for the Los Angeles area. While Cecile and I were attending Christian Chapel of Walnut Valley,California, I was baptized by Reverend Ron Nettels at his home in West Covina on June 5, 1977. I had always loved the Lord from being impressed with my parent's commitment, even back when we lived in Kansas, but I think that I needed to know that I had actually prayed the sinner's prayer after being old enough to understand the plan of Salvation. Later, while visiting my grandparents in Wichita, Kansas, I attended a service at Uncle Edward's mission where I made a commitment of my life to the Lord.
