Welcome to Cousin Fudd's hub pages!! During my working career I was a blue collar worker and spent almost 30 years working for General Electric Outdoor Lighting near Hendersonville, NC, working a variety of jobs from being a die caster casting those big cobra head lighting fixture housings, assemble, and my last 20 years, as a machine technician making electrical wiring for our outdoor light fixtures.
Retiring in 2003 and after bi-lateral knee joint replacement surgery and one shoulder joint replacement I volunteered at our local branch library and soon became involved in the writing of a small book of history about our mill vllage town. In this volume no personal interest stories were included much to my dismay and I decided to write my own memories of growing up in a cotton mill village which later I self published in a book using Lulu.com. Since then I have written several other short story books. copy and paste) http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/robertballardsstorefront
My books are also available at Amazon Kindle books and digital text platform. see books by Robert Elias Ballard and Putz Ballard. My books are also available at Google Books as well as other popular book stores. As a self published author any expectations for discovery and the writing of a best seller are minimal but the satisfaction of creating and publishing my very own works were fullfilling and rewards in and of itself.
Hub pages affords me an opportunity to write. I have met many great writers here. The feedback and comments are helpful and encouraging. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Please use the comment module to to express those comments.
