I took early retirement from the mental health field in 2008 so that I could spend more time with my new grandaughter in Thailand, my mother in a nursing home and my only sibling, a sister, living with and dying of ovarian cancer. I have one daughter and two sons and all are teachers. The two sons teach or have taught in international baccelaureate schools in Phuket or Bangkok, Thailand and I have spent short and extended amounts of time in Thailand for the last 14 years. After retiring, I have been able to spend more time in interests such as writing on my first book, crochete, jigsaw puzzles, antiques and being a grandma. Even tho officially retired, I have been a Senior Companion Volunteer and worked part time in the school systems along with substitue teaching in Kansas. I recently relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado and love viewing Pike's Peak while spending time with nature in my back yard.
