Cultural ties to grieving often require certain practices that we may not always adhere to. Seeking help is not easy when a large stigma is placed on therapy and mental illness in any culture.
There are many pressures faced by the Iraqi female. She must be respectful of her elders, her society, her male counterparts and God. Any disgrace removes all of her honour. An archaic pressure.
