I'm currently completing my degree in English and periodically writing for an international animal rights organization. After spending over three years working as a librarian in a local historical society, I continue to do genealogical research in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas, as well as online. I also photograph every cemetery I meet with the intention of sharing the images for both aesthetic and genealogical enjoyment. I heat my family's 200-year-old farmhouse with a wood stove, cook too much too often, and prefer the company of animals to that of large numbers of people. Autumn, my greyhound mix, was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and I am treating her with a new at-home chemotherapy drug with the intention of giving her the highest quality of life extension possible. Despite her need for close attention and care, I still manage to spend a good bit of time in dusty archives and the rest trying to keep foot-out-of-mouth, where it seems to want to take up permanent residence.
