My name is Joyce. I have so many interests that I have learned to categorize them by season, you know planting in the summer, knitting in the fall etc.
During the day I work as a Speech-Language Pathologist helping individuals affected by strokes and brain injuries learn to regain speech, language, swallowing, breathing and other cognitive functions. I love to do research and love the ever changing brain.
I recently starting writing a blog about my chronic autoinflammatory disease called ankylosing spondylitis to help me deal with some of the overwhelming emotions that I had; venting at its finest hour. During this journey I found that a lot of my skills and knowledge mixed with conventional medicine as well as alternative healing have lead me down a path that I never thought I would travel on.
I enjoy sharing my skills and these lessons learned; I critique medicines and holistic products as well as nutritional information that those of us with autoimmune diseases as well as the general public should find informing.
I am very opinionated and most people find my information either one of two ways: good or bad, depending on their situation.
I hope you enjoy what I have to share and if you have anything you cannot find answers to, please feel free to ask! Namaste :0)
