Hi there, I'm the Book Lady on YouTube! My YouTube channel is called "Books, Health, and Happiness: Adventures of a Senior Citizen."  http://www.youtube.com/bookladychannel

I will be writing articles on HubPages that are on the same kinds of topics.

I'm a heavy reader and love to write book reviews of all types of books. Right now my favorite genres are Christian literature and memoirs.

I also give health tips that might help a lot of different people, but I'm trying to focus in on seniors... because I'm getting older and I tend to write about what's affecting my life.

I don't own a car anymore (can't afford one) so I do a lot of walking and bicycle riding. Guess what? I've learned to love this! At first I had a hard time adjusting to carlessness (this was just last year) but now I'm happy as can be and no longer miss having a car. Of course, maybe someday I'll buy another, but I'm not in a big hurry and I'm not feeling deprived, so I'm fine with the waiting process.

In 2012 I self-published a novel... I'm so happy with it. My secret is that I've got a lot of other novels written and would like to get them all edited and published. Please God, may I achieve it.

My novel, River Girl, is for girls ages 8 to 15. It is available on Amazon.

In 2013 I left my home in the forest in far-northern California, and moved by myself to Idaho where I live in a small town between Coeur d'Alene and Spokane, Washington. I love living here... and only two weeks after making the move, I became a Christian. That's made a revolutionary positive difference in my life. I write about that a lot.

I attend a Calvary Chapel church weekly (if possible) and also attend a women's Bible study at a non-denominational church on the other side of the Idaho/Washington border. I also study my Bible at home every morning. I may be late to come to Jesus, but I'm making up for lost time as well as I can, and enjoying every minute of it.

Topics I write about include family rights, the rights of foster children, books, books, books... and even Bigfoot. I've even been known to write about vegetarian food... I'm a long-time vegetarian with an interest in a variety of health issues.
