I admire wolves more than people. It is not that I don't like people - I just think that we could learn a lot from other species about getting along.
Wolves are social animals, they like to hang out and they get along fine mostly. It's better than a lot of folk do.
I've been thinking how we're reintroducing wolves into some places where we hunted them to extinction. We now understand they played an important part in a natural chain we failed to understand.
I don't like arrogance; it led to a lot of needless wolf killing - and it still does.
In a strange way, I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes by Nietzsche:
Be careful, lest in casting out your demon you exorcise the best thing in you.
