I started out scrapbooking like most people who get started… in high school. Although I did not know it then that I was scrapbooking, I would place my pictures in an album with magnetic pages, and I would journal about who was in the picture, what they were doing, and the date of the photo.
Fast forward to 1996 when my first nephew was born, and my mother wanted a scrapbook of him. So I went to Michaels, and bought paper and embellishments, and the craze started from there. I started making cards a few years later. My scrapbooking really took off when I wanted to scrapbook my Disney trip. I was hired to work at Archiver’s a few months later.
In November 2009, I decided to take the plunge and turn my hobby into a business. I will be forever grateful of the time I spent there, and of my job at Archiver’s. Family means everything to me. Why do I scrapbook? Because I wanted to show my pictures in a very interested way, and to show people what I do with my time when I am not doing anything else.
Why do I want to craft for others? Simple, to make them feel good, and to make them feel special.
