Raven Ford is a pen name for L. Richter, a writer, teacher, film maker, singer/songwriter, actress, mother, and grandmother who has spent over forty years living and working in the South Florida area. As a graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, she has had the opportunity to put her Screen Writing and English Literature skills to work in many different arenas.
As owner of Raven Ford Productions, a video production company that specialized in corporate and artist promotional videos, as well as in the preparation of auxiliary marketing materials, she had many experiences that proved invaluable in understanding business, marketing, education, and the creation of promotional materials.
Additional work experience includes fundraising and development within the higher education setting. Her executive management and production experience includes preparation of industry publications within the aviation repair and maintenance field; and, marketing and product promotion for the pharmaceutical industry.
For the last eight years she has worked for Miami Dade County Public Schools, the 4th largest public school district in the country. She served as a Career Specialist, and is currently a Language Arts and Reading teacher, having served as Department Chair for both departments for three consecutive years.
Her work experience, as well as her personal interests in writing, music, drama, film, education, fishing, and arts and crafts has broadened her sense of curiosity about many subjects. That curiosity has led her here, to Hub Pages where she can explore, discover, and share her experiences and findings with others around the globe.
