As an ever-curious and constantly-adventurous person, I know at least a little bit about a lot of things. I always have new recipes, ideas, and perspectives and always try to be a breath of fresh air.

I grew up around the world as the child of a career sailor and Department of Defense employee. After high school, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend college at the University of New Mexico and moved to Northern Virginia this October.

Freelance Writing: Outside of HP, I love helping companies fulfill their written needs with my own linguistic flair and quick wit. If you are set up on oDesk, you can see my profile by clicking the link.

My professional website, Rachael M Cleveland, explains everything (or close to it)!

Feel free to email me to write reviews, articles, content, posts, help with basic web design, or more. Even if you just need someone to be a part of this process with you, please get in touch. I offer very reasonable rates for my services and I live to help.

Need to brush up your own writing skills? I tutor and coach writers through my online tutoring business, which is listed and described below.

Acquisitions Editor:

Since February 2012, I have worked as an acquisitions editor for a small, but mighty publishing company. I love to connect with authors and their words. Plus, I get to read as much I can stand (or sit) and I get paid to do so!

My pride and joy is my blog, The Aliso Kitchen. It's where I detail my mission to "live better for less," and where I share my insights and tips with people like you!

Personal Interests

I'm semi-vegetarian, a cat and dog lover, avid reader, and amateur chef. I'm always on the hunt for ways to simplify life and I love to share my experiences and insight with others.

My newest goal is to become a runner! I've already got the shoes, now I need to find the drive. I'm also teaching myself to play the mandolin.
