Sam Hook, a Kentucky native, was the first graduate of Murray State University's Bachelor of Fine Arts program in creative writing. He is currently enrolled in Murray State University's Master of Fine Arts low-residency creative writing program and lives in Smyrna, Tennessee. He has worked as an associate editor for the New Madrid: Journal of Contemporary Literature and as a Graduate Assistant at Murray State University.
