Served in US Navy after graduating from high school. Afterwards went to work for IBM and then spent the next 30+ years working for IBM and several other companies in the dp field. Worked as a computer field engineer, software system engineer and later as a salesman selling mainframes and high value systems to fortune 500 companies.

Decided to retire in 1997 and go sailing. Had owned a sailboat since 1983 but could never spend more than 10 days on it.

Over the next five years,spent from 6-11 months on the boat each year cruising the Chesapeake,Florida Keys and the Bahamas. In 2005 started to explore internet marketing and opened an e commerce store specializing in wedding jewelry for the entire wedding party.
