Sherridan Hughes is a chartered psychologist specialised in career assessment, analysis and counselling - a proven career catalyst. After previous lives in teaching, hospitality and leisure, Sherridan has been a career consultant for the last 23 years and has successfully helped literally thousands of people of all ages, occupational level, and educational and social background. As a recognised expert, Sherridan is often quoted in the media (BBC News 24 and Radio4, The Times, Today's Businesswoman, Red Magazine etc) and she is one of the few career consultants recommended in the career bible, "What Color is Your Parachute?" Clients come from all over the country and indeed the world (most recently from Brussels, Switzerland, Botswana, South Africa, Barcelona and UAE). Having trained with a well known career consultancy, the pioneer in its field, Sherridan progressed from trainee to managing consultant. She subsequently started a competitor firm Careermax, which although going from strength to strength and breaking even in the final three months, sadly had to wind down due to usual start-up cash flow problems; she admits to having been over-ambitious and underfunded for a Kensington High Street location - a lesson to all you would-be entrepreneurs! Undeterred, and inspired by clients' positive feedback, Sherridan regrouped in 2005 and began again seeing clients in the comfort of home. This has turned out to be particularly enjoyable, feeling more friendly and personal, and better still enabling her to spend more time with her beloved twins and dispense with the dreaded au pair !
