My name is Nicolas Soergel and I live in Japan since many years. Together with my wife I run Chinriu Honten Limited in the fifth generation. The company produces and retails traditional Japanese food since 1871. Our product line is around food that is made of Ume apricot or Yuzu lime. It is through my work that I started to better under the Japanese Umeshu liqueur. Most people only know the very sweet industrial product. I took on the mission to introduce the many hundred private Umeshu labels that cover a wide range of flavors to the world.
