I have held careers in several very diverse fields. I spent six years with Citibank and was on a team of employees who basically went from new branch to new branch, ensuring successful launches.
I enjoyed ten years in Manhattan ensuring that pension and annuity policyholders had the correct federal, state and non-resident alien taxation.
I left the city to pursue my dream of being a PGA Golf Professional. I did a super job of it, but being a golf pro in upstate New York isn't that easy or lucrative.
SO, I took a job making minimum wage at my son's Catholic elementary school. What did I do there? What DIDN'T I DO? I oversaw technology for a while, did some fundraising, a lot of advertising and marketing, some alumni relations, event planning, assisted the principal with administartive stuff and even started learning to write some grants. With all that being said, the position was phased out and I found myself looking for a job.
What I really want to do and have always wanted to do is write. So that is what I am doing on Hub Pages, writing.
I welcome all to parttake in my thoughts and add your comments to the mix. Sounds like fun to me!
