Nietzsche-The insane

They know Mugabe has Cerebral Syphilis or at least I know it.

My GP ,who in the good old days of Rhodesia,treated him for it,but no one dares to say he is insane.

Nietzsche was declared insane in 1889 and remained in that condition of mental and physical paralysis until his death in 1900.

Nietzsche is one of my favourite writers.

When I started studying this guy,I thought that he was daft and beyond help.

Judge for yourself.

1. He who is a teacher from the very heart takes all things seriously only with reference to his students-even himself.

2."Knowledge for its own sake"-this is the last snare set by morality: one therewith gets completely entangled with it once more.

3.The charm of knowledge would be small if so much shame did not have to be overcome on the road to it.

4.One is most dishonest towards one's God:he is not permitted to sin.

5.Love of 'one' is a piece of barbarism: for it is practised at the expense of all others.Love of God likewise.

6.'I have done that',-says my memory'-. 'I cannot have done that'-says my pride,and remains adamant. At lasy-memory yields.

7.One has been a bad spectator of life if one has not also seen the hand that in a considerate fashion-kils.

8.It is not strenght but the duration of exalted sensations which makes exalted men.

9.Under conditions of peace the warlike man attacks himself

10.It is dreadful to die of thirst in the sea.Do you have to salt your truths so much that it can no longer even quench thirst.?

11.Woman learns how to hate to the exrent that she unlearns how to charm.

17.Jesus said to his Jews:"The law was made for servants-love God as I love him as his son ! What have we sons of God to do with morality.

18.Clever people are not credited with their follies:what a deprivation of human rights.

20.Christianity gave Eros poison to drink-he did not die of it,to be sure,but degenerated into vice.

The truth about Nietzsche is to be discovered,not in single passages,nor even in single books,but in his whole work.

Nietzsche's individual ideas and suggestions do,of course, exist in their own rights as you may have read above.

It is dangerous to quote passages from Nietsche like one quotes passages from the Bible.

That is the curse of men misunderstood.
