Hooray For Fun!
Surely there are few things more decadent in life than a good old-fashioned milkshake, but how does one make them? One would think that in the diet-conscious cosmos of today that they aren’t as popular as they used to be back in high cholesterol, non-awareness times, but the secret is out and that is simply not so. Clandestine admirers of milkshakes have persisted despite persecution and weight gains, and the reality is that now they can all come out of the high cholesterol closet, especially with the lower fat ingredient alternatives currently available. No one anymore, can ever put a good old milkshake down! There are several companies that manufacture milkshake makers and two two very popular varieties are the Waring Milkshake Maker and the Oster Chrome Milkshake Maker. We will, for comparison purposes, deal with these two specific brands, but bear in mind that there are many fine milkshake makers out there just waiting to make you happy. The Waring DMC201 Milkshake Maker, like all Waring products, gets its moniker from the famous bandleader of yore, Fred Waring. This durable, two-speed commercial drink mixer has three independent spindles, each equipped with its own butterfly agitator disc. It has an automatic start/stop operation for those among us who cannot think quickly on our feet. The Waring Milkshake Maker is constructed with a heavy stainless-steel splash panel. Depending on one’s mood or fancy, one, two and even three drinks can be mixed at the same time. (Be careful though, as one can still only drink them one at a time.)The Waring Milkshake Maker is available in Quite White, Chili Red, Retro Green and black. The appliance can be mounted for versatile mixing and easy serving. (Do not hang it too high on the wall however, or serving drinks can become a really awkward process.) This milkshake maker not only whips up delicious bar drinks; it also blends batters for pancakes and waffles and froths eggs for light and fluffy omelets. The heavy-duty motor and classic good looks make the Waring Milkshake Maker an attractive addition to any kitchen. The Oster Chrome Milkshake Maker is a very fine product. This 100-watt mixer blends creamy milkshakes and smoothies about as fast as the speed of light. Constructed of heavy-duty, die-cast chrome, the Oster Milkshake Maker features two speeds, a safety switch and includes a 28-ounce stainless steel cup, which keeps drinks cold. The safety switch prevents the operation of the milkshake maker without the stainless steel cup in place. It can blend drinks in seconds thanks to its commercial design, which is equipped with special aeration discs. The die-cast chrome construction guarantees stability while mixing drinks (but if you choose to drink, your personal stability is not guaranteed or even covered under a limited warranty)! If all of this talk is bringing on a craving for a milkshake, go right ahead and make yourself one. I would suggest however, that the first step in the process of making a milkshake might involve going out and buying a milkshake maker. (I could be wrong, but I don’t think so!) Happy Milkshakes Everywhere! For more information: http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=211959
