The Best Office Pranks: Hiding Phone in Ceiling
77
Make the Boring Un-Boring
Ah. Office life. Life in a cube farm.
Sometimes as a groundhog in the workplace, with the monotonous blah that is artificial walls, uncontrolled cooling vents, it may take tired workers more than a red swingline stapler to revive from the doldrums.
In the office life where workers are boxed in cubes in proximity to other workers, odds are good the little things in life, like an annoying, loud cell phone ringtone, can make life in the office just that more irritating.
Odds are good the person with the annoying, loud Soulja Boy ringtone--or better yet--that high-pitched windchime waltz that makes your ears bleed each time Mr. or Ms. Important receives a phone call--which is, of course, on average every five minutes.
And it especially has to ring loud and proud when Mr. or Ms. Important isn't around to answer the phone, so it rings incessantly until the voicemail fairy disrupts the ringing.
Fear not as you can fight back in a clean, hilarious way.
The next time that annoying phone rings loudly, and that person isn't around to answer, coyly obtain the phone, and safely lift up a ceiling panel and slip the phone into the ceiling.
Here's the fun part. Odds are good the person won't realize the phone's missing. Until you call it. A lot. For an even better prank, alert your fellow co-workers of the prank and have each of them call the phone so you, as well as Mr. and Ms. Important, can hear the annoying ringtone over and over.
At some point, Mr. or Ms. Important will recognize the sound of his/her own cell phone. And scury to find it.
That person will ask around, nicely, first: "I can't find my phone, have you seen it."
Keep your cool. There's nothing to see here. "No. You can't find your phone? Didn't you just have it?"
The person will probably start to get more and more aggitated as the phone rings.
This is the funny part.
Before that person reaches a breaking point and is about to kick a trash can, freak out, or punch the wall, slip back up to the ceiling and pull the phone down.
This prank works well because unlike many other office pranks such as decorating somebody's desk or putting a stapler in Jell-O, hiding a cell phone shouldn't create any sort of actual mess in which to clean. This prank also works toward improving the office life of you, and the people around you, in an attempt to rid of the annoying ringtone. It's a win-win!
At this point, you should no longer have to hear the ringy dingy of Mr. or Ms. Important's loud cell phone. Ever. Isn't that what that why that fun vibrate mode was created?
This clever prank is perfectly carried out by Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) and Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) on Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) on the NBC hit sitcom (U.S. version) "The Office." Feel free to view the included video to see this prank performed with prank-loving precision.
Just make certain you carry your cell phone with you when you leave your desk every time following as your phone may be next to take an upward journey. And not the "Don't Stop Believin'" Journey.
What's the funniest, clean prank you've ever performed on a co-worker or had pulled on you?

Hilarious! I was not very creative or non messy. I painted cracks on monitors with vaseline, made a print screen desktop to drive people nuts and other such small pranks...
Thanks!
