So you want to write for money

Just so you know this is not a sales page I'm not selling anything and I won't even reveal my income sources, I don't even have a single affiliate link on here only my standard adsense ads that everyone has on their hubs.

I wrote this for my friends and supporters to update them on my progress. I went from writing hubpages making 20.00 in 4 months (and pennies a day from there) to figuring out how to make 100 a day writing tiny blogs, to learning how to turn my hub page hubs into even more money than that (which I'm working into).

The old school way of writing hubs, adding adsense to it and trying to get people to link back to the pages doesnt work very well. It takes an extraordinary effort to get those link backs but if you know how you can actually turn your hubs into cash cows that can generate amazing income. In fact I have since figured out that this is being done with hubpages themselves and is part responcible for their incredible traffic velocity!

This hub is designed just to update my fellow hubbers who read my hubs on my progress and to let you know that their are better ways to make money than to depend on adsense. Traffic is the only way you can make money that way their is no magical hubpages butterfly putting your pages on google for you, if your lucky enough to get a few people to put you on stumbleupon or sites like that you will generate a couple thousand hits a day for a minute then it will drop off (I think thats how I made my 20.00 from my romance hubs).

Alittle history of how hubpages made me a better writer and ultimately helped me make alot more money now.

I remember when I entered the world of hubpages.com. I was actually looking for a real world job in Craig's list (I know I know but I thought I'd take a look anyway.. but look it landed me here!).

Nothing really appealed to me in any other category but then I spotted the writers needed link and it got me to thinking. Well I like to write and I've always wanted to know if I could make it as a writer so I clicked in. This was my first introduction to the adsense program, and the blog or hub for cash industry. I had no idea that people made money this way and so it really excited me to no end to discover this.

Forum Addiction stopped my writing

I quickly set up my HubPages account and got to reading to see what other people on the service were doing. Naturally I went into the forum to catch up and met some interesting people.

Their were some arrogant characters in there too but that's to be expected in a writing forum.

What I discovered in my first few days was that you could earn money writing hubs. A hub being an article that usually informs people or gives advice and how to information.

Needless to say I was pretty stoked at the concept of earning money from clicks and I started to ask a lot of questions. I found myself more interested at first in talking to fellow Huber's and eventually found that I spent all my time in that forum. The addiction was conversations with others who knew more than I did, and the interaction.

The Powerful Writers Arrogance lesson in disguise

What I soon discovered was that these conversations could go volatile if you butt heads with one of the forum elders. I ran into a girl and two gentlemen who were pretty harsh with me (not right away mind you). The two gentlemen turned out to just be strong personalities.

Nothing wrong with that, but the woman was just mean spirited and seemed to think she was always right about everything. She'd even contradict herself via her rants and her actions i.e. stealing pictures and using them without permission yet yelling in forum posts about how rediculous people were who did this.

I thought maybe it was just me at first but other members of the site had the same issues, although noone was doing anything about her, they focused all their rage on me. Sure I deserved it I wasnt being very nice myself, and although I was for the most part reacting to her she was just as guilty of being a jerk in the forum. But this served a purpose for me later it seems so I can't be too mad at her.

That was ok with me at first until I found myself getting irritated by her mostly then at the others eventually (because my anger got the best of me and everyone at that point was irritating me) and I lost my cool, to be kicked out of HubPages all together.

Some people just make you feel like this because their so irritating in their disposition
Some people just make you feel like this because their so irritating in their disposition

Completely lost my focus (but get it back later bare with me here)

I was having some personal issues finding work at the time and I had recently dealt with a job where rude people were prevalent (Wal-Mart CSM). I'd been talked down to spat on shoved and basically had my fill of rude people. The problem was I held it in and it was just begging for a trigger and release. The first person in the forum to really irritate me was this girl who loved to put others down.

Not in a nice way either, theirs just no excuse for this type of behavior, the other really didn't have this temperament they were what I'd call tough love types.

They tell it like it is and have no real intensions of being rude, but if you provoke them they do react to you in same. She was just a nasty personality who was arrogant and probably not happy with her life. But she was the lead trigger in my release to come that would drive my lesson home.

I hate to admit it but she, although was not right in her actions, actually helped me learn a lesson that I'd needed to learn. In hind-sight I think I would not have learned anytime soon without being provoked so she actually did me a favor in expiditing my lessons faster so I could get to the money faster.

Being kicked off of hubpages helped me come back a new writer

This was a humbling experience for me as it made me feel like I failed rather than succeeded. I started to write hubs and really liked it but somehow got caught up in the forum and wasn't really writing. Upon this experience I was a complete newbie and truthfully couldn't write very well.

I did have the skills and the creative adeptness but my writing needed formatting, I needed to learn to be more concise and to the point and to not try to over explain things (redundant). People enjoyed my writing but when it came to a professional writing career you have to follow certain rules.

Ut-Oh Nobody liked my hubs...

I didn't know it at the time but many of the room regulars had read my hubs and were less than impressed with my ranting and long posts, lacking pictures and formatting and my insulting style of writing like the reader had no sense. Of course this wasn't my goal but lets call a spade a spade, my writing had potential but sucked.

Here I was defending my crappy writing style when all they were trying to do was help me see that yes your writing does pose some interesting points but your format is extremely immature. It took anger to jar me loose but with the incident above I was cocooned into a new writer. Like I said I possessed the skills, and creativity, I just had no clue how to write in a format that people would want to read professionally.

Proof was in the pudding eventually

My first hub was a disaster but I didn't realize it.

When I had improved my style drastically (even members who'd criticized my work before were saying I was drastically improving so that was good) I revisited my first hub, a hub I blindly stood up for and made excuses for but when I read it (I hadn't seen it since day one when I released it) I was horrified at what I saw. No wonder people thought I was a complete moron, that hub not only lacked direction, formatting, and common sense spelling sense, but it was written like graffiti!

I made a complete Clown of myself, but I did grow up so to speak.

The true sign of growth is the ability to acknowledge your mistakes, and try to fix them, grow from them and serve as an example for others. The true mark of being human is forgiveness of others mistakes.

To give you an idea of what a jerk I was making of my self imagine a kid whose father shows up to the school for parents day dressed like a complete clown, makeup nose and floppy shoes, and embarrasses his kid, thinking the kids will love me, what kid doesn't like clowns?

Then one day enough kids make fun of him trying to help him realize he looks ridiculous, this is a school not a kids birthday party, and he changes and recoups.. But now he has to try to gain his son's respect again as he's embarrassed himself and his kid. I don't believe I've gained back the respect of any of those forum elders but in my mind if they are that dense to hold a grudge and not allow someone to change their ways why would I want to associate with such ignorance anyway?

The few people who did assess my changes and have actually come forward to tell me they noticed a marked improvement, well they have my respect. I won't waste my time with anyone else.

I have since found out how to make money in ways they probably have no clue about as they continue to write their hubs that make them squat, chump change a few cents a day. And the best part is that I can do this using my hub pages. It's truly their loss that they've basically shunned me because I will not share my knowledge with them, actually they wouldnt be receptive to it anyway, because they seem to think they know everything.

My first rediculously formated and really insulting (to others intelligence the way I used to defend it as if it were a work of art) first hub did do one wonderful thing for me however, it showed me a marked improvement in my writing and I've since rebuilt that hub here. It's not perfect but it is not at all the same hub. It was however my clown suit with the big floppy shoes when I entered that forum acting like I was always right. The difference is I can now admit that I knew nothing- Nothing about writing hubs..

I was a blogger.. but since this experience I've become much better.. I got my butt kicked socially and it helped launch me into changing my ways. Now I make upwards from a hundred dollars a day writing blogs/hubs. This to me is a marked improvement!

My burn up and re-entry into the hubpages scene

When I got kicked out I wrote a letter to the lead HubPages programmer Jason and I begged for forgiveness and asked if I could return to the site with no access to the forum. I promised to behave myself and to stick to writing hubs that were productive and well to keep my big mouth shut so to speak. Jason showed compassion and my writing career was back on.

He said "you gave me your word and I'll hold you to it". And I did and never strayed. It really sucked to not be able to interact with the forum but I realized that this was a good thing because I could now concentrate on making money making hubs!

The day I was not allowed to write for HubPages I felt so bad it made me sit and ponder what I'd done. I come to realize I was feeling a bit inferior because these knowledgeable members of hub page writing had much more experience than me and their approach to my writing and ranting was less than optimistic. Although I did learn that they were never really attacking me.

I practically over night put my ego in a choke hold and decided to get more serious about writing and to stop acting childish in forums for no reason. It's hard to hear that your writing is crappy but at the time it truly was what they said it was. My reaction to them was what caused them to become rude to me and the whole thing escalated, but in the end it was all my fault.

Then I moved on to more productive lessons in making money blogging... Jumping ahead of all my fellow hubers in income

Several month past and I learned some powerful lessons but then it happened...

It's been several months (about 5 or so now) since that experience and I've since written about 79 hubs (although I still have 20 or so hubs sitting in my unpublished queue due to needing serious editing) and have more or less discovered the tips and criticisms they told me were actually valuable information and I've learned to be a better writer.

I've learned from the experience with the other hub page writers, or more so from their advice to respect my readers and trust that they will understand what I mean the first time, no need to explain something ten different ways to drive the point home. After all my readers are often very intelligent people who wouldn't be there reading my article if they were that dense would they?

In the end my writing improved drastically and I have converted from a blogger to a hub page writer. A blog is generally by definition just a ranting of data, more personal than informative where by a hub is a professional quality help article of some kind that allows people to gain something from reading it (not just opinions but some facts and advice for example).

I wrote several dozen psychology hubs on topics ranging from love, dating and poetry to how to deal with life, how thoughts control your reality and how things turn out to time travel theories that I hope intrigued some people.

Over time however I found this a great practice for my skills and a great way to vent off all that data I've consumed over the years on facinating topics that I'd always wanted to teach others. This was all fine and dandy but it wasnt generating money for me. I come to realize that writing hubpages wasnt really a lucritive way to make a living if anything at all.

Stay with me I found the kink in the system

The missing link

I'm going to leave you hanging here for a moment then my next hub will give you the formula..
I'm going to leave you hanging here for a moment then my next hub will give you the formula..

Yes I'm bragging a little but not out of arrogance more so to show you guys that your hubs may not be making money now but it can..
Yes I'm bragging a little but not out of arrogance more so to show you guys that your hubs may not be making money now but it can..

I'm going to leave you hanging here for a moment then my next hub will give you the formula..

To keep this hub short and to write a whole hub on what I've learned I'll give you some time to think about how the above led to my success.

This hub was about my beginnings with writing for money, and how I ran head first into the HubPages community and hit a wall because I wasn't paying attention.

I actually wrote this hub in between every 30 jobs in my other quest (blog for cash 1.00 per 100 word blog) and to give you an idea I made over 200.00 while writing this blog just lacing the time between the two projects. I actually started to write this hub to stimulate my brain.

This hub was also about how I got banned from the site and came back and did a 360 and how that taught me how to write better, to listen to others advice and to persevere and grow. Writing hubs folks, is only the first step. If you stop there (this includes adding all your monetization optimizations) and want to get paid your sadly mistaken. You will make about 20.00 in three months. Whoohoo right?

I have to admit though it was hard to write this hub knowing I wouldn't make money from it. I've been making 100.00 a day writing short hub/blogs (blogs that are written with the professionalism of a hub) at about 100 words each (1.00 per 100 words) which most of you will agree is pretty good pay for what a paragraph? takes about 20 seconds to write. To give you an idea of how much you can make writing that much let's convert this hub here into how much money I could have made using this many words.

This hub is aproximately 3,100 words thats 310.00 I could have earned writing 310 blogs (which would have taken about 2 days to write as writing on one story is alittle easier than on 310 stories I'd have to create) Even if you shave off 100.00 for the difference in tollerance thats still over 200.00 for this hub's size of writing. Compare that to writing 80 hubs that barely earn you 20.00 over three months. to put it into perspective 310 blogs in 2 days = 105 a day or 105.00 a day.

in 4 months or roughly 120 days I made 20.00 on hubpages. On this other things I would have made (all be it more effort and time involved but the result is worth it) 120 x lets just say 100 blogs a day = 1200.00 which would be more fun?

But even in this venture as exciting and lucritive as it is, their is a better way and an easier way to make money USING your hub pages the way it was meant to be used.

till next hub keep writing those hubs and make sure you monitize them, because their is a way to turn them into cash cows but you will need to make them informative not about your opinons or ranting.. advice and self help pages sell the best. I'll give you more next time.. If anyone even reads these hubs (you wouldn't know it by my adsence income lol, well soon that will chance.. for now I'm gearing up..) I will tell you this this technique I learned will work but it does take up to a year to really kick in but its completely residual and only gets bigger.. hundreds of thousands of hits a day to every hub is going to bring in some money you can count on that! 80 hubs at 100.00 a day is 8,000 right? hmmm

are you using a company for the blog for cash thing?

Yes I am.

Yep I write blogs all day long @ 1.00 per 100 words. They essentially give me a keyword or keyword phrase i.e. “Dog collar” or "Structural Engineering Software" And my job is to write/create a story, review, or analytical interpretation around it.

I pick "jobs" from a Queue of backlogged jobs. Jobs are synonymous with client or client’s site to promote (backlinks) and blogs within each job ranges from 5-50.

Sometimes it’s easy and you get several keywords per job but most of the time we get one keyword phrase across all blogs. This isn’t' so bad in 5 or 6 blog jobs but when you have to write 20 blogs on one keyword phrase this is a challenging process, maddening even if the keyword is hard.

I had the keyword “Free 3D glasses” with 20 blogs and my mind went completely blank after 10.. For the rest I had to make up stories.

The thing is it doesn’t matter what we write as long as it’s coherent and related somewhat to the keywords. The stories don’t have to be real, the reviews could be made up etc..

It’s mainly for linkbacks, but the clients do read them and can reject them. I’ve had only one rejected but it was because somehow an extra sentence landed in one blog from another..

We had a writer get canned for using his blogs to vent (dumb idea), and another for writing his blogs as a series i.e. tagging his blogs titles as part 1, part 2…

when each blog lands on a different site so this format is useless to the client. The beauty of this is I get paid to create stories or write analytical assessments of what ever the keyword is about.

It can become tedious at times because unlike writing a hub you have to generate a new story basically every paragraph (to relate it to writing a hub each paragraph would be a different blog).

You could I guess write a story that had 10 concepts in it and split it up into ten blogs but chances are they would need the supporting dialogue of the other blogs to make sense and since all 10 blogs will land on different blog sites this is not efficient.

I like that I can squeeze out 100 blogs a day (not as easy as it sounds) and make 3,000 a month in income without leaving my house. It takes about 8 hours to do this.

When you start out its very easy, all that creative energy untapped becomes your money maker.. Then you dry up and cannot duplicate anything you’ve previously written (as I have written to date over 2,000 blogs in the past month and 1 week), this becomes a hard process.

There is however a way around this limitation. I discovered that there is a way to write that’s more efficient than just building the blogs on the fly per the keywords.

What you have to do is go through your picked jobs (you get to see the job title and some times the clients .com but the keywords themselves is hit or miss you don’t see the gift till you take off the wrapping, or accept the job) and write a list of your keywords down then you write out a concept to write on for each,

by numbering your page based on how many jobs that particular one use, you will find that writing is the easy part. You essentially spend the weekend writing out say 300 jobs worth of keywords

(probably 150 different keywords as many also have several keywords per job set)

and making up the concepts i.e. say you get dog knowledge  you would write:

Dog Knowledge concepts

1. Shock collars, cruelty or safe?

2. Potty training your puppy

3. When puppies become dogs, and end up at the pound

4. Leaving your dog in the car on a hot day is against the law

5. Where do you find good dog knowledge

up to ten as was in my case You do this over a day as the only work you do and you end up with an exhaustive list of concepts to use in your key worded blogs.

You only have to use the keyword itself once in each blog and its only 100 words you have to write so when you have the keyword and the concept your ¾ done, now you just write about the two.

You end up flooding your brains engine if you try to do both processes at once. Both coming up with a concept and writing the dialogue (100 words).

When you do one then when you get to the other (writing and creative processes separately) then you can write like crazy punching out 25+ an hour and if you’re a machine like I am 25 an hour means 18 hours x 25 = 450 a day on a good day. I’ve just learned this new way to divide my time to work faster with less staring at the blank screen.

So today will be my develop concepts day and tomorrow I’ll see how this power effects my output. I’ve done about 100 a day thus far with an average day of 60.

I tested the technique out yesterday and wrote 25 blogs in the one hour I worked. It was phenomenal how easy it was even for hard keywords to do it this way.

As far as internet jobs go or hell any job goes this is a dream job (sorry their not hiring anymore writers) and I control my income completely.

It turns into a concept of how efficient you can write and one of the tips that works best is the one I just learned and said above.

I wrote 80 hub pages articles and to date am making about .15 a day. Some of my hubs are over 12,000 words and all monetized but I make crap from adsense.

However I’m learning about how traffic changes EVERYTHING and the hub page articles can make more money if I just do a few things.

Essentially there are ways of spending 200.00 a month to generate (it takes time still) hundreds of thousands of hits to a hub making it a money making engine however this is not as effective as making your own page and putting your own articles there and monetizing it yourself.

With HubPages you’re just paying them 40% of your earned income. Hub pages is a great place to start out, it gives you the experience you need, but rarely do anyone earn substantial incomes here.

HubPages the company however is generating millions from the pennies from heaven efforts of all the writers.

Think about it over 100,000 pages making just 1.00 a day average (since many make more this fills in for those that don’t on the average) they make 100K a day easy (I’m sure much more).

Making 2,000 a month here is an incredible undertaking however and not realistic. You can however build a site and within a year sell it for 8,000.00 (once you've monetized it and flooded enough traffic for 3 months to produce a proven 1,000.00 a month in adsense income investors will buy the site just to keep it producing that 1,000 a month, they earn back their investment and keep it flowing with traffic to make their profit)

then make another and do the same. In fact you could do this all month and produce thousands of sites a year to sell.

You can eventually hire writers to build the pages content and still earn 8x your money. But I’ll let you guys figure that one out for yourself.

Maybe I'll blog about it when I get the full scope of this concept down.. :) Happy blogging...

Does this sufficiently answer your question (and the next one I assume you were going to ask hehe)?

Ha. You definitely went above and beyond with that one question. I'm not sure where the HubPages earning $100,000 a day came from, but hey you go on tangents right? Ha. This concept sounds very interesting. I've never heard of it. I'm going to have to search the internet a little more then, huh? It sounds simple, but I could see where it can get complicated and running low on ideas. Do you usually have a time limit, such as 20 blogs in a certain period?

I'm not necessarily looking for a career at online writing, but a nice supplemental income would be great.

For what you're doing, do you use your own blog or another company's blog? I'd be interested in checking it out if it's your blog.

No limits really (the beauty) well essentially (I work for a company) I have to do at least 50 per week (I do that in 2 hours now) and if I accept a job I have 7 days to finish the blogs for it. A job or client set, can consist of 1-50 blogs so if I accept it I have to be able to finish it in 7 days. It gets complicated when you start backloging (accepting alot of jobs) jobs and run into hard keywords or strangely worded keywords that you have to insert into a sentence of your blog.

My limitations are based on how many I accept. Once accepted you have to complete them by their independant due dates which shows up on my control panel on the site. Once completed I upload them back to the site (their in an xml file the system can check then import to their system for distribution later).

I generally take about 300 blogs (50+ jobs average) at a time and as I get closer to the bottom of my que I grab more. But as their are many hard ones I tend to take the known easy ones as they hit the backlog..

I'm sure their are other sites like this that hire people, their difficult to find, it took me 20 years to find this one :) and I was turned on to it by a friend 14 states away. They aren't hiring unfortunately.. they have probably too many writers at this point actually. They want to keep us with plenty of work so their not looking for anyone else..

as for hubpages earning 100,000 a day I was being humbled in my figures.. I know they make more.

It actually helps me write them too! one thing writing hubs gives me that my blog job doesnt is I can add pictures and movies to make my point, although hubs are written for people to read moret han the blogs I write. I love how pictures can actually double the messages strength to the reader. Its what makes hub pages so dam interresting and addictive. I write now still for fun and I will eventully convert these hubs into my own pages away from hub pages I've discovered the real way to makemoney and giving hubpages the revenue for my traffic generating efforts is to me rediculous.. but one step at a time :) thanks for the compliments!

Update- Well I've reached my goal again and surpassed last month’s check, which finally came in the mail. My goal was 2 grand, more than enough, but I finished that early by a day and wrote another 102 blogs, my boss generously gave me a bonus of 70.00 for reaching those numbers! Landing me at 2173 can you imagine your boss actually paying you a bonus because you did your job? I didn’t reach 2,000 blogs to help them, I did it to make money but because when I make more blogs it helps them clear their queue, which makes their client were writing these outsourced blogs for happy, this makes them very happy.

I smashed the all-time record of 2100 blogs in a month. I was at 2000 thinking that was the record but found out 2100 was it so I hit 102 more and took my prize! I didn’t get a bonus for doing more I got a bonus because they appreciated my hard work (and believe me it is hard work after you punch out 75 blogs a day, currently I'm trying for 134 a day which is 4,000 a month but I think I may just land this month at 3,000 which is cool with me as its still 900 more than last month!

update for June- I burned myself out trying to write blogs every day..

My goal started out at 3,000 then I realized that I was burned out so changed it to 2,000 but I squeeked in at 1,591 9 short of my low goal of 1600 blogs..

just goes to show if you try to work every single day you will crash and burn.  This month I am going to try something more realistic. 31 days in the month if I take 2 consecutive days off (weekends) that leaves 23 (theirs that number again!) working days left.

On full throddle I can nail 140 blogs in a day, but realistically 100 in a day is doing well, so Let's shoot for 100 a day times 23 days and set the goal for July at $2,300 dollars/blogs for July.

That will supercede my highest earnings to date ($2173.00). The beauty with this blog gig is that their truly is no ceiling to how much I can make but I'm finding my zenith is 100 a day 5 days a week which is still a nice chunk of change.. more than my jobs ever paid..

$2,300 a month is a decent wage.. thats about 2 grand after taxes or $24,000 a year working at home :)

While I felt the second half of your hub should have been a seperate hub altogether (starting at the missing link), I really enjoyed the first hafl because it was a lesson in humility that many people are too afraid to share in such an open forum. It's a valuable lesson that many wanna-be writers can learn themselves. As an editor, I can tell you that I've run across a few stubborn newbies myself. Suggestions and rejections aren't meant to put anyone down, but to help make you a better writer. We can all use this reminder since writing is such a personal task.

Hi Jericho!

I have joined HubPages for 17 months but I never knew what had happened in the forum. Firstly, I want to thank you for writing this hub. It answers my question about whether I can make a living from HubPages.

Initially, I was hoping that writing on HubPages could be my main income until I read your hub. I think I should change my plan now. I am not really a good writer and won't be able to write fast. I don't speak English in my daily life and at many times, writing in English had driven me nuts!

I will still publish hubs though but like what you said, I should not earn mainly from HubPages. My 100$ was earned more than in a year! I will need your advise more later on. If you were desperate for being kicked out from HubPages, I am now really desperate for making hubs which I am not sure that they will earn me enough money.

If I earn 500$ in a month, I can already make a living here in my country. I had just quit from my $450 workday job and thought that I could earn more from making money online. However, after a month working out, I totally messed up and became unsure of what I am doing.

I am going to subsrcibe your hubs to get updates. By the way, I came to this hub from your comment on Sweetiepie's hub last 2 days. I am glad that it brings me here.

Regards

Thank you Ronald, I appreciate your comment and your views. You shouldnt give up however. Just because you can't make a living on hubpages like most of us believed we could, doesn't mean you can't make a living online. You should realize that their is alot of money out there and their are an equal amount of opportunities to make it. I wrote a two part hub on this concept and released part one but am working on part two. I'm trying to dig my heals in more before I give up the secrets.. not to mention I spend my whole day writing 100 word blogs for a company I work for so my brain needs a rest!

It was because of my perservering on hubpages that I do what I do now, my hubs were my resume and impressed the boss man. He is now teaching me the business bless his soul and I'm in turn hoping to teach others what I learn.

I live in a ritzy part of town in a wealthy city in the most expensive state in america besides New York, and to make it here we have to earn 2,000 a month just to break even, and I'm doing alittle more than that working on the internet. I haven't had to talk to a boss in 4 months now and I've made more than I made at work..

Just keep writing hubs and keep the faith, the universe will hook you up if you ask it for what you truly want.. money is a means, the universe uses it to help us aquire resources but you must not ask for it, ask for what you want, the end results.. and money will come to help you reach it. You ask then you have to act on the resources that appear soon after..

most people forget that step.. its alot like when your parents say make me a drawing heres the crayons and paper.. the kid has to do the work but the parent provides the resources.. the universe will provide you with writing opportunities if you keep going and ask to make a living as a writer.. if thats what you want.. thats what I did.. I just believed one day it woudl happen and I just wrote for fun until it did..

Its important not to put all your eggs in one basket.. some upcoming hubs I'm writing should help.

I'm a copywriter for a backlinks company I write about 10,000 words a day over 10 hours apx on that, and on my days off or sometimes between blog writing I write hubs, an average hub takes me about 4 hours, I don't have to research much because I write about what I already know. Hubs help me to organize all this data in my head and help others at the same time. I'm not here on HP to make money as its not making me any but I love their format and how I can write articles on it when I get an itch to write about something, its my personal documentation of my thoughts as well as sharing my wisdom...

Jerrico

p.s. did that adequately answer your question? if not let me know. I'm going to be releasing some more articles on how to make money on the internet soon.

If you have gone through the list of my hubs, you will find my blogs are of the following categories :

1.Terra cotta art in temples of Bengal.

2.Personal blogs.

3.I just started a Tale of anonymus artists of terra cotta art of Bengal.

All these hubs need photo publication.

I do not intend to immediately write contents with 'key words' .I would certainly look for readership and if I can strike a chord with readers , a publication.

Best wishes.

Where do you think I should publish my articles and 'tales'.

I would use hubpages, squidoo, and wordpress for publication also ezine.com, I don't know about the others but hubpages doesnt claim ownership over your work, so its a good place to get your work read due to the traffic, personally I am putting my future sites here to guage if people like them and later will convert many of them to their own domain/site and the hub will be rewritten as a "book report" version of the site (which hub pages readers prefer anyway) and this will have a link to funnel traffic that wants to know more (much more) on that topic.. I suggest you do this..

Maybe I can help *wink* your not alone.. I was there myself actually and although I "fell" into a lucky blog job earning a buck per 100 word blog I write, the real currency of my job is who its connected me with and what I'm learning lately... I will be focusing some hubs on these things to help people get off the ground... My next hub (newest one past the 13 in my unpublished que lol) is about writing for money.. I think many people give up too easily because they expect things to happen in the opposite way that they actually do.

I'd love nothing less than to see people find success in the online money making field.. their is a tremendous amount of money being made online, before the internet their were about 1000 millionaires in the world and now their are 100 million! that's quite a leap.. but their are also thousands of lucritive money making concepts.. all using one form or another of adsense...

Jerrico Usher profile image

Jerrico Usher  says:

probably a good thing lol, because I was pretty new and overwhelmed with everything both online and in my life and I wasn't very inspirational back then.. although I learned from it...

I was banished from participating in the forum, ironically for doing what all the others do in there every day still.. I was singled out unfairly but owell.. I make more money than the instigators so I'm content with that :)

When you say blogs do you mean posts on blogs? Don't see how one post of one hunderd words makes a blog. Sounds like some of the spammer blogs I have run across.

Jerrico Usher profile image

Jerrico Usher  says:

Its not spam at all, its a real blog designed to generate a backlink from an authority site. The site it links to is a real site often not selling anything at all used as an adsense revenue site (like HubPages and in many cases people use these blogs to raise traffic to their HubPages).

I get a keyword say "Baby gift Baskets" (this is a real example and to a real site which does actually sell something)

I write a blog on this keyword: (its not always just 100 words but often between 100 and 200)

When you find yourself looking for a good gift to bring to your baby shower you should consider baby gift baskets. Why? Because baby gift baskets, bring about a sense of nostalgia wrapped in a basket that brings two gifts possibly three. A gift at a baby shower is designed to give the mother to be baby stuff and this tradition is designed to celebrate the new baby while also helping the mother to be's family with the expense of having a new baby. Baby gifts are great but what if you could give a gift to the mother to be, the people attending the shower, and yes yourself? The gift basket accomplishes this in one shot.

How? Because everyone loves to look at and gets the gift of a good feeling when they see the creativity of how the actual gifts are arranged. In this scenario the gift's basket becomes the gift everyone enjoys like watching a good movie or seeing someone in a beautiful dress, and you get to enjoy the joy you bring to everyone with your basket choice.

In this blog people learn something, and then the keyword baby gift basket becomes a hyperlink to a baby gift basket site. Even if nobody clicks the link Google sees this blog as a valuable linkback (because of where the blog will be put) and thus raises the ranking of the target site the keyword(anchor text to the link back) is linking to.

It wins for the site because they get higher rankings (linkbacks) potential traffic from the linkback (link in blog) and the person reading the blog gets good information (even if they don't click to the site they got insight into baby gift baskets).

Another example using a non sales site is:

Keyword: Blogging for Backlinks (128 words)

Blog on this keyword:

When you want to raise the awareness of your site both in Google rankings as well as in actual traffic to your site from a link back (link originating on another site linking back to your own site) you use a technique called blogging for backlinks. When you blog to get a backlink you accomplish two things. The first thing you accomplish is you get potential traffic to your website from the blog itself. You'd put this blog on a high PR(page ranking) site where traffic is good, HubPages for example is a high traffic site to blog on for backlinks. Second you get what Google calls "Link Popularity" which makes your site go up further in the Google search (higher placement when people search for your keyword.)

You see this is valuable because it is real information, but its sole purpose is to generate traffic from Google hits. In essence that blog tells you what its about in a nutshell and that is the type of blogs I write. They are by no means spam even if they go to a site that sells something. If they don't offer you valued content in and of themselves (even if you don't click the linkback) then they are spam by definition.

I write valued content and am well aware that people will read these blogs and I always try to give them good information. In reality the blogs are more meant for Google link popularity however as people will most likely come across them they do need to be valuable and unique like hubs. The difference between a blog back link and a HubPages hub (which is another step in the traffic generation concepts) is that the hubs are generally 500-2,000 words where by a blog is put on a site that gets 100-200 word blogs all the time and is meant to give you a good starting point on information not so much a hub on the topic.

I write about 100 blogs a day. Does this answer your question?

I think you're a great guy and really respect your hard work and honesty. And it saddens me to see that you're working your ass off to make $1.00 for 100 words. Seriously. You have quality stuff to say. And you write so much. For the same amount of effort, you can easily create a residual income of $10,000 per month, and you won't have to keep writing for the money to keep coming. Don't think this is one of those "spam" comments to promote a site. I'm serious. From writing 5 articles, I generated an income of $600 per month which is coming til this day. Another article I wrote started up a $70,000/year business for my mom. The concept is known as "bum marketing"... check it out at www.bummarketingmethod.com.. it's not my site but it has some good stuff to say.. and it's all free. I hope you start making some easier money and get some time to relax man.. seriously, the amount of work you do is insane.

I'm aware of my pay to work ratio and I will soon be making the money your talking about. What you have to realize is that theirs more to it than making money. I choose to do what I do because it trains me to do what I'm going to be hiring others to do later.

I get more than money from my bosses as well and concider myself well compensated. Information and insights are worth their weight in gold. I'm not being exploited, and in fact for the work we do we are well paid. I'm here to learn the trenches, and to experience the hard work of it. You truly enjoy and appreciate the money later when you realize what it is your not having to do right?

I appreciate your comments. As a starter job writing, this is a really good place to get your feet wet. I've learned a great deal about backlinks and google in this position. In fact those articles your writing are the same as the clients that hire us to write their backlink blogs and I'm well aware of the whole system. I will be diving into the adsense sites very shortly.
