HubPages/Squidoo Merger Announced!

HugPages Acquires Key Content from Squidoo

Huge news this week, friends! HubPages is acquiring content from the best of Squidoo, making us the largest content site around. You can check out the HubPages Announcement and the Squidoo Announcementas well for more details, but here's the gist of how it will affect Hubbers:

  • Many Squidoo accounts will be migrated to HubPages, so expect to see a lot of new faces. Let's give Lensmasters (the Squidoo version of Hubbers) a warm welcome and help them learn the ropes as much as possible. :)
  • Featured Lenses will become Featured Hubs. Expect to see a lot of new articles. Since HubPages and Squidoo have different publishing standards and requirements, Lensmasters will be given a generous grace period to get their transferred articles up to snuff, but rest assured that we will ultimately hold Hubbers and Lensmasters to the same publishing standards equally.
  • Acquiring the best content and traffic from Squidoo will make HubPages the largest content site around. Combining assets means we'll be able to support more features and enhancements for Hubbers in the future. Everybody wins!
