Best Cat Litter For Odor Control
What Is The Best Cat Litter
If you're a cat owner with an indoor cat then you probably already know just how difficult it can be to find a good odor control cat litter.
Most cat owners will go through several different brands of cat litter. I know that I personally have went through a lot of different brands of of cat litter in order to find the perfect cat litter that suits my household.
Luckily my cats are pretty easy to work with and don't mind all of the experiments. Other cats may not be so easy going, in fact many cats have a problem with any kind of change so you may have to take this into consideration when it comes to choosing the perfect cat litter.
Every household is different so what works for one household may not be right for yours. My main requirement in a cat litter is that it does a good job of odor control. I own two cats, and the last thing that I want is for someone to be able to walk inside my house and automatically know that I'm a cat owner. So if you're looking for an odor free home be sure to check out the following list of products designed to reduce litter box odors.
Use Nodor Litter Spray
Hartz Nodor Litter Spray is a fantastic product that helps to neutralize litter box odor on contact. Just spray it on or around the litter box for an odor free litter box.
Using the Nodor Litter Spray will give you back that nice odor free home that you used to have before owning pets, that as lovable as they are tend to be more than a little smelly.
Best Odor Control Cat Litter
The Arm and Hammer Super Scoop Clumping Cat Litter features the addition of baking soda to help control odors. Because of this it does a fairly good job of odor control but like all clay type cat litter it does tend to get tracked across the floor. So you might want to consider putting a mat of some kind in front of the litter box.
The Fresh News Cat Litter is a biodegradable cat litter made from recycled paper into pellets that are said to be more than 3 times more absorbent than clay litter. Baking soda has also been added for odor control and the large pellets help to keep any tracking down.
The Scoop Away Fresh Scent Clumping Cat Litter does an excellent job of odor control but I have found this litter to be very strongly scented. To me it smells a lot like fabric softener sheets and the scent does stay on your cat. And like all clay litters it does tend to get tracked out of the litter box.
The Ever Clean Extra Strength Cat Litter is an excellent product for controlling cat litter odors. It is a little expensive but I've noticed that this brand of cat litter tends to last longer than some of the others.
The Feline Pine Cat Litter does a decent job of odor control but many people don't care for the pine scent. Plus I did find it to be a little more messy than the other litters when it came to cleaning the litter box. Otherwise it is biodegradable and more healthy for your pet than the overly perfumed brands of cat litter.
