Fleas and Getting Rid of Them
Those pesky little bugs that drive everyone crazy. You can't stand them and don't want them in your home but you take your dog for a walk and come home and he's scratching. I got so sick of spending so much a month on flea meds for 3 dogs that I found another path.
Lemon oil. The kind that you put in candy. Walmart sells its for $2. You get two and it's enough to last awhile. All you have to do is put a small amount in between the shoulder blades. The fleas can't stand the smell and jump off before they have a chance to get into your home.
For the carpet, there are two things you can do. One take salt and this one seems a little extravagant but some have done it. Sprinkle your carpets with salt and let it sit for a week then vacuum. Two, Take lemon juice and mix it with water and spray on your carpets. Another way of doing this is to take the zest of lemon and then cut the lemon in half and boil it all in water. Let the water and then put it in a spray bottle and spray your carpets. Works like a charm.
For Cats; I do apologize but do NOT put this on cats. Not unless you want to see it about kill itself trying to get it off and then have to give it a bath. No just leave it off. When I find something that will help cats, I'll make sure to write about it just for the cat lovers.
