Shadow Dog!

Things aren't always as they seem:)

Really looks like nothing special here, just some flowers and some ivy...right?
Really looks like nothing special here, just some flowers and some ivy...right?
Until the lights go out, then look what appears in the shadows:) Couldn't believe it myself.
Until the lights go out, then look what appears in the shadows:) Couldn't believe it myself.

When the lights go out, no telling what you might see:)

See the dog? Doesn't it look like a "Scottish Terrier". It is so funny, people try to make shadows on the wall, and never could come up with a way to make this one. Then with no effort at all, just a flip of the switch and waa-laa:) So cute, even I don't know if the timing could happen again with just the right light to re-produce this picture?

Remember how fun it was, when you were a kid, to figure out shapes of animals you could make...in the light of the shadow on the wall? Even now for our kids it is fun, to show off, the little tricks we learned when we were kids:)

Have you thought about how easily the eye can be deceived? I have thought about this concept before. For instance: It is so awesome, when you see a mountain scenery, one day. Everything looks fine, and how beautiful it is...until the next day. To your surprise there was another mountain behind the first one. It only appeared when the fog was lifted. Now you can see, literally the full picture. Just think you how beautiful it was before, and now you are in awe of the fullness of it's beauty. Fog? You never even realized there was a fog.

So much of the time, just in our day to day lives, things are really not what they seem. We can see things as perfect from our perspective, and learn it to be a certain way. Then one day, again, we find out there was more to the picture or situation than we thought. We come to know a more full understanding:)

Experiences like these, help us to step back and really study things better, to try and get the full picture? To see things as they really are!

I love how when a person paints a picture, there are so many layers. A painter can put in as many layers as they want. When a person admires the painting later, they don't truly understand the amount of work that went into this painting. Until the artist, points out how many layers there are, and how many hours it took to paint the painting. Then we do have a better understanding. How fun it when an artist places hidden items or scenery in the painting. Most won't notice unless it is pointed out to them. How about the ones...that only reveal to you the full artists work, once the black light is turned on. The reverse of what happened with the shadows:)

I know my analogy is quite small, in comparison, to what the microscope can see. The human eye is only able to see a portion of what really is. A whole new world is opened up when we search out what we can see with a quick shutter, and with high powered magnification.

Just now, a new thought...imagine what we could see, if we could see the full picture through the eyes of God. Personally, I think our human eyes, would not be able to handle such magnitude! In our own lives, we can only handle so much, at one time. Could it be? We are not ready to see the full picture even of our own destiny, until some of the lurking shadows in our own life, are dealt with.

If you have some shadows to deal with, remember you can pray to God, and He will direct you on the path of inner healing. When this path of healing started in my life, I was so amazed the people God would place in my path. People I did not know, and some I was scared of getting to know, because they reminded me of the very people who hurt me. I have learned through God's help to face my fears, walking in prayer, to each rest stop. Trusting in Him, each step of the way, brought not only inner healing, but also healing physically and spiritually.

Heart, what a lovely hub. I have looked very hard at the two pictures that make the little dog. It is just amazing how things can be revealed to us even when we are not really looking.Just like the shadows we made with our hands that you were talking about. We could see the shadow animals very clearly. It is like that when God reveals things to us. Things that we see and take for granted can become something very different when God takes our blinkers off.

heat4theword Blessings sister.(-; I enjoy your writing so much. It is deep, yet heartfelt and thoughtful. Love it. God has Blessed you with a gift, heart. I love the shadow thing I will check it out more, fascinating what we see when we look.

Today I was sitting by the creek. I shut my eyes I could feel the presence of Jesus near me, by me. The water was flowing on the creek. I could really hear it. So beautiful, then I saw I believe a shadow of Jesus in the water. It was like he was telling me I am here with you always. I had so much peace. God is so amazing. He shows us how he loves us everywhere.

No way we can imagine what his Glory will be like when we get to Heaven. It will be glorious. Much Love sister, you keep on. You are doing great. Just love as you do and you will be led. You are loved by many, me being one for sure sister. Hugs Galore. In HIS name

This was interesting heart4theword. Things can be seen so differently, depending on one's point of view, and the same goes for how we perceive things. Thanks for a very interesting hub!

What an intersting way to talk about shadows. This would make a good Bible lesson for a youth class!

This was so much fun - and now I want to arrange some things in my home so I can have a shadow! Why not. It's time to create a few shadow monsters - that would be fun!

Love unique hubs like this - it wakes up my creative juices.

That was a very good analogy! I will have to do this with the kids as an object lesson. They love it when we turn off the lights and do shadows on the wall. I will show them how God knows the big picture, but we only see the shadow. Thanks for a good lesson!
