Names for Yorkies
The Yorkshire Terrier is just about always on the top ten favorite dog list that the AKC releases every year. But, just because the breed is super popular, that doesn't mean you have to choose a common name for your yorkie.
Choosing the perfect name for your dog can be one of the hardest things to decide on. And, with yorkies, you want to choose a name that will reflect the breed's spunky personality. Fido, Fluffy and Spike just aren't sufficient for the breed.
Yorkies are brave, determined, investigative and energetic. Just because he has long hair and is a small dog, it doesn't mean that he isn't full of personality.

The Clydesdale terrier was bred with other terriers like the Skye terrier, Waterside terrier and the English black and tan toy terrier to create a small, toy dog.
In 1874, the Yorkshire terrier was first registered in the British Kennel Club stud book.
Since Yorkies originated in Yorkshire, England, consider naming your yorkie a name with an English decent.
