N ebo never met a stranger.
E veryone was his friend.
B eautiful spirit always with an
O pen heart that welcomed all.
Nebo did not judge people. He accepted everyone he met. He did not let feelings of insecurity keep him from making friends. Nebo always seemed happy. He was always ready to play or go for a walk. Nebo ate with joy and gusto, treasuring each bite. He loved affection. Nebo was a blessing to those who knew him. Nebo was a senior citizen but you could not easily tell this by his attitude and zeal for life.
Nebo inspired me. I want to put aside feeling insecure when I meet new people. I want to be one that people come to when in need of comfort. I want to always be ready to play and have fun, go for a walk, or just sit in quiet companionship with my loved ones. Like Nebo, I wish to appreciate God’s provision of a good meal and a warm place to sleep.
We hardly think a dog could be an example of right living. But, when I look at Nebo and how loving he was, I realize my life is happier when I act like he did.
Nebo will be missed by my dear friend and her family who lived with him. He will be missed by many.
