SMOKY MAMA AND HER FIVE WEEK OLD KITTENS
Kittens at 4.75 to 5.25 weeks
Well, it is now 5 weeks since little Ms Smoky Mama graced our home with her five small bundles of love. Boy, that sure is a syrupy sentence, isn't it? But, I cannot help myself...these fascinating and energetic little beings are a sight to behold and a joy to be around.
Kittens are everywhere! climbing whatever surface is available, rolling around on the floor, each other and ever patient Smoky....chasing tails and dust bunnies and ghosts! The room which is their own is a constant source of unbridled energy and movement. Smoky jumps to higher levels just to escape the chaotic scene...but, soon enough, the babies will be able to reach her in her lofty perch.
Feeding time is wonderful! I mix tasty tuna juice or canned food with Blue kibbles for Mama and the same mixture with kitten kibble for the little ones who are eating hard foods half the time. Still, of course, they return to mother's milk for that added boost of nutrition and comfort. Tiny paws kneeding, little bodies strewn about over Smoky's, the larger the kittens grow; the funnier is the feeding frenzy ala Mama Smoky!
This is just a short hub to keep everyone updated. The kittens are more beautiful than ever, I'm feeding Smoky three, four and five times daily just to keep up with the demands of her family; making sure that Smoky is never under nourished.
All is well in Kitty City.
I really want to thank everyone who has left the wonderful and encouraging comments to the former stories in this series about the adopted and very pregnant Smoky. I appreciate your visits and fabulous words. I am always pleased and uplifted by all the love that comes through to this hub and these beautiful family members. Please know, that in the very limited time I have at present; I am forever thankful for your "presence" here on HP's
