I am a total Dog Person.
I have been playing with pups since I was three years old. And the only reason I don't have a dog right now is because I have a really small kid. Once he's grown up, I'm gonna get him (and me)a pup!

Dog person. Although cats can make good pets as well. I think it just takes a special person to be able to handle a cat. There's just something about a dog smiling at you when you come home from work.

I have to put a vote in for cats. I am definitely a cat person. You don't need to walk a cat and they can be left alone for a night or two. My cat has a lot of dog-like traits, he plays catch, he runs to meet me when I come home at night and he comes when I call. There is nothing like having a purring cat lying beside you.

I'll go with cats as well. We have five right now. I find that they don't take nearly as much time as when we had a dog and that I enjoy them much more smile

Well I get facial swelling when I get around cats or touch them ...I have to make sure I dont touch my face and not to stay in the room with them too long ( I would start to sneeze like crazy!!!)
I am Definately a dog person.

Used to be both but now leaning more towards 'dog person' I think they make unselfish friends and more forgiving.
Having said that I do remember one cat called Sabre who was more independant than some dogs and I missed her alot. Another big plus for cats ,if ya strongly dislike mice ( like I do ) then a good female cat is security lol

I love dogs. We have 3. In the mountains dogs are a necessity. They protect us from mountain lions, bears, coyotes and other predtors. Unfortunately, they did not protect my newly blooming plants from being gobbled up by a particularly, rascaly rabbit.

Definitely a Dog Person!!  A dog really becomes a member of the family.  When you are an empty nester they are the perfect little bundles (or not so little bundles) to spoil and nurture.  You will never be loved so loyally!!

I love both and have both, 5 dogs and 4 cats.  If I had to choose though, it would be dog.  They are without a doubt happy to see you, no matter the circumstance, no matter the time frame....no matter what.  Their love is pure and simple!!!

It would depend on where I'm from.  If I was from northeast Asia, I would be a dog person.  If I was from southeast Asia, I would be a cat person.  smile

I am a total cat person (hence my userpic) and my hub, My Furry Little Confidant, talks about how my cat Mokana helped me through a rough day.

I like dogs too, but cats are definitely the way to go. I feel so much love from Mokana that it's like she's my own child.

She's fun to play with too; she chases a ball up and down our hallway as much as a dog would; so cute.

    Yep, cats all the way!
