How diverse are the pets in your household?

I'm curious about the number of people who keep multiple species of pets. Do you have only dogs and/or cats? What about fish tanks, small animals, birds, reptiles, or insects?

A cavy is a guinea pig right? I love their little "week-week" calls. They are so adorable!

Aw, being a city-dweller, I completely overlooked any livestock type pets. =( Of course they count!

You're right, the different behaviors between species (and individuals) are very interesting. My lovebird likes to snuggle with one of my cats, but is terrified of the dog even though he's never shown one bit of interest in her.

Shelties are so much fun in agility! A hobby like that does require extensive commitment though. I can see how it would be hard to take care of other animals.

Pit bulls are one of my very favorite breeds. They're illegal here in Denver, but most here acknowledge the ban exists to prevent abuse of the breed, not to "keep people safe." They are so loyal to their family, whether people or other pets.
