    Anyone afraid of birds?

Birds freak me out! I don't know why, they just do...

Only if I walk into say a pet store and they fly by me. I think it's because I'm not expecting it not that birds really freak me out.

I see... that's a good reason. I've had birds swoop down at me, repeatedly. They freak me out now.

No, not at all. Believe it or not, the blue jay is the most aggressive bird around urban areas.

I very much dislike any bird near me. I don't think keeping them as pets should be legal either (side note). They freak me out as well. When I was 16 I had a nose ring. While walking at the local flea market I stopped to check out the parrots. Not a good idea. I ended up with a snatched out nose ring, and I haven't liked them since.

I came home one day this past summer and I saw something skipping along the floor and at first I thought it was a rat. But no, a bird. It started flying around frantically and I opened some windows and chased it out.

If birds freak you out, try a bat. Had one of those in the house too. They are a lot scarier than a bird when they are flying around a foot above your head.. And it's not just about Dracula.

I have a friend that is very afraid of birds, butterflies, and moths.  Consequently, she also saw The Birds at a young age and has mentioned that it may be a source of her fear.  I've met others with similar phobias.  Ornithophobia is the technical term for fear of birds - maybe look it up and see if there is any way to treat your fear.
