HOW is this even possible?

We adopted our neighbor's cat a few years ago when she was no longer able to care for him. He is now almost 14 years old. He had been neutered and the vet we take him to confirms his records show that the procedure was done when he was two years old. Over the last few months however, the cat has been spraying like an ordinary tom, and now we have noticed that his testicles have "grown" back. How, how, how is this possible?

I better just have the vet him another looksee to be sure on the UTI thing. But actually, he's been more playful than he has in years. Thanks!

Hi ChristinS, I wondered about that, but no, he's healthy and no symptoms of UTI or kidney infection as we've seen in other cats. He has lost a little weight though, of course he's more active these days, too - which I find unusual for a cat his age.
