my black lab-chow mix name is : Houston Texan (so I can call him: "Big-H") My yellow lab before him was named: "Okie"
I like naming animals after the land ( or maybe something western)...However...I have an adopted/foster pup who's name is: "O. C." for Orange Crush (Any Foridians out there?) She has always acted like she (Cute American Boxer/Lab mix) had a crush on Houston..."Big-H". We unfortunately lost "O.C.'s" brother (same litter) to an illness recently. (A brindle Pit Bull/Boxer/Lab named "Bronco Billy"...I miss that guy!)

My sister ran away and came back with a cat who she named pumpkin (the cat is shades of grey and black mind you) and when she left again and pissed off my dad, he changed the cats name to Ed.

How do you pick names for your pets?We had some unusual names for our pets when I was a kid (my brother named one cat "Mody" because the cat sounded like its 'motor' was running when it purred. Any cute stories about pets' names in your household?

We've always given our pets middle names, I think it's pretty funny. I love hearing other people's full pet names. Tell me if you give your pets middle names and what they are.Our new puppy is Tucker McLovin.

My first ever pet as a kid was a budgie named Jimmy. He was very talkative and was a real part of the family. We once left a tape recorder on when we went out and he was coming out with all kinds of funny things we'd never heard him say before. What was your first pet(s) and tell me something about...

Do Cats or Dogs make better pets?My cat is so cute sometimes - and smart. And he knows how to be nice when he needs something... But he is not selfish - he lets me mess with him sometimes when I'm in a bad mood.
