peacock mating requirements

    can a peacock who has dropped most of his plumage still fertilize a peahen?

    Most likely, considering that all bird moult once a year.  And last I knew, moulting has nothing to do with fertility.

      thanks for the serious reply..of which I am..can't seem to find any answer about this on the intenet...He's half molted now but wondering how potent and do they have the "urge" once the tail feature is dropped...

    Didn't realize you were looking for a serious reply.  When I saw the title 'peacock mating requirements' all I could think of was you need two peacocks.  One male, one female.  Sorry, I'm no help.  smile
