Harley Davidson Gear For Pets: The Perfect Gift!
Harley Pet Gear!
Did you know that there are more than 3 million Harley Dogs and Biker Cats in the United States? A 2007 study by the AVMA found that 37% of US households owned dogs and 32% owned cats. With more than 6 million registered motorcycle riders in the Unites States, you do the math… There is a huge opportunity to properly outfit these lucky pets in the proper Harley Davidson gear! Harley logo pet gear can also make the perfect holiday gift.
The Basics.. A Harley Leash & Collar
Every dog or cat needs a good collar and leash. You can buy strong, nylon collars and leashes, decorated with the Harley Davidson Black Flame, or Harley black and orange logo. An alternative is a Harley logo, back & silver, leather studded collar and leash. What Chihuahua wouldn’t look hot in leather? For the icing on the cake, add a Harley Davidson Logo ID tag, or motorcycle themed tag dangling below their neck.
Dress Your Pets in Harley Layers
The cold weather is upon us in most parts of the United States and it’s important we keep our Harley pets warm by dressing them in layers. At minimum, we can start with a Harley Tee-shirt and then add a motorcycle themed sweatshirt. And for a dog, we can try a Harley cap and winter boots. Now, I have a dog and I know that the hat and boots would stay on for about 10 seconds, but they could be great picture opportunities while they’re still on. Quick fact.. did you know Harley Davidson dogs are sometimes called Hog Dogs?
They sometimes say that dogs and cats look like their owners and vice versa. If you like that idea, buy two Harley bandanas, and put one on you and one on your pet. There are many styles and colors to choose from. How cute!
Harley Davidson Chew ToysFor your Harley pup, or perhaps your three year old, there are a number of vinyl, chew toy options available. This includes the motorcycle boot, toy motorcycle, Harley tire and Harley vinyl ball, all in the Harley black and orange color scheme. If your dog likes to play tug of war or fetch, try the Harley ball tug or tennis ball.Harley Plush Toys- For The OwnersHarley makes an extensive line of plush animal toys dressed in Harley Gear, many with very cute names. In their dog line, there’s “Oil Can” the black Lab, “Dominator” the Chihuahua, “Revolution” the Boxer and “Wheelie” the Rottweiler, to name a few. “Axle” the plush kitten, has often been seen partying with “Screamin” the Harley Davidson plush eagle. I wonder if Axle’s parents know. These toys range from $10 to up to $60 and could be a great gift for the Harley pet owner or their children.
Bikers Support Animal Rescue
Sometimes Harley riders are portrayed as tough, rebels but there are thousands that support animal rights and pet rescue across the Unites States. Here are a few recent events.
On September 14 2008. the “See Spot Run” fundraiser was held. Sponsored by SPOT magazine for animal rescue and by ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education)
