How to Deskunk Dogs and Cats. Skunk Spray

Dogs and Cats Skunk Spray

There are some steps to follow if you want to remove skunk odors from cats; and you must follow these steps strictly, as they are trade secrets gotten from a certified animal groomer. Before I jump into listing the few steps, I have to correct a misconception most people have concerning tomato juice and pets. Firstly, the idea of washing your cat or dog in tomato juice really does not help in eliminating skunk odors from these pet. The best ways to eliminating skunk odor from your cat and dog is to solve the problem of getting rid of the oily base caused by the oily nature of a skunk spray.

To remove skunk odors from dogs will require that you use the same methods as used for cats and other pets. Skunk sprays are extremely greasy, so the best method of eliminating the spray is to eliminate the oily base, in the following ways and with materials like an authentic dawn dish washing detergent; which would serve as a shampoo and is very helpful with degreasing. You will also need an eyedropper. To protect the pet’s eyes from the harshness of the detergent; you will need to get a few drops each of vegetable oil for each eye, and a less expensive slicker brush for brushing your pets fur before you shampoo. You will need other things like, a sponge, clean towels, and an apron to protect your outfit, a hair dryer, and a fabric refresher.

It is now time to get rid of skunk smell by following these few steps of mine. They work and have being confirm to be safe for dogs, cats, and any other pet. Firstly, you will have to brush the furs of your pet before you start shampooing. Then, apply each drops of the vegetable oil on each eye with the eyedropper listed. This is useful because it helps to reduce the pains caused by the spray and the harshness of the dishwashing detergent.

Start washing your dog or cat with the dawn dishwashing detergent recommended, this is your best-optioned detergent/ shampoo if you really want to eliminate skunk odor from animals. When washing your animal with this detergent, apply more of it to the affected areas and ensure you wash your pet twice. After washing, rinse your pet thoroughly with warm water and then dry off either with the hair dryer listed or with a towel.

Get rid of skunk smell by following this routine. At first changes may not show much immediately after the bath but as hours go by, you will notice the gradual disappearance of this skunk odor. Ensure that you wash your animal’s beddings and any other area you think he must have contacted it. Buy good dog and cat skunk sprays from the links below!

Interesting hub. Though I do suggest changing the title a bit so it is at least capitalized and makes a little more sense, it is a bit disjointed especially with the semi-colon in it. That's odd. Great advice though. Thanks.
