Ode to a Cat

Moo sleeping with Belle
Moo sleeping with Belle

Once there was a cat,

white, black and fat.

Came to my door

and stayed much too long.

Wasn't overly affectionate,

but liked to hang around,

made his presence known,

always with a loud M E O W.

Listened to my stories,

and knew my heart and soul,

funny how a furry thing

like a cat

can make you feel better.

He was tough, this is true,

you might say

stood his ground and never backed away.

CONSTRUCTION CAT!!!!

Liked to sleep upon the rock wall.

PROTECTOR OF...

KING OF .... his home.

Now you are gone...

and it's just not the same.

Oh...

HOW I THINK OF HIM....MY FURRY LITTLE FRIEND!
