I think addiction may be of different type (i) natural addiction or addiction for having or practicing anything for a long period of time or (ii) addiction for lesser time period. The question I suppose is related with the temporary addition. It depends upon health, mind and atmosphere. These gases are not affecting the oxygen, but the production of it and the ability the Earth has to absorb carbon dioxide and other GHG's.
