Depression is the worst! A combination of being depressed as well as a alcoholic can definitely lead to self destruction. You as an individual have to want to break free from it. If your behavior is very reckless, yes you can kill yourself

While researching another subject about homeless vets, I found that the young people are #2 in numbers. Most of them said it was because they had no idea of what to do after high school or never finished high school, and their parents, accusing them of being lazy, or simply told them once they were 18 out they go. They had no skills or education or knowledge of what to do or how to get a job, and most I found had been latchkey kids

Greetings! Not sure who you were aiming this question to but I am of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many call us Mormons. I often quote scriptural passages from many places like the King James Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price and several other sources.

I just lost a close friend this way, she liked a drink and it became regular. The pain from the drink used to have her in agony in the tummy area. As a person she was lovely and kind, but would not stop the drinking, it is so sad that they seem out of reach as people, the need to relax becomes a tricky habit. I hope you can steer him away to get help, even if it is detox or a rehab clinic. Good luck friend.
