Wow! That's a lot of amazingly awesome Elvis posters! I could look at his posters all day long and never get tired of them.

Thank you, Thank you very much Steve for creating this tribute to Elvis!

Hello Sunshine, thank you for the nice comment. Elvis and the Beatles, my favourites in my youth.

Elvis starred in a handful of good films but the rest were just fluff, colorful fluff. He was making 3 movies a year by the mid sixties, big mistake.

Now you've hit on something where I can say I've seen every one of these movies. I was 10 years old when Love Me Tender came out. In those days movies played over and over in the theater each day. I went to the movies in the early afternoon and didn't get home until evening. My mother was furious but I got to see Love Me Tender three times!

Swivelin' hips, sexy smile and incredible voice...that was the early Elvis. I wasn't allowed to go to concerts but I did stand outside once and see him get off his bus and go into the concert...a moment that lives in infamy in my brain.

Great job as always. thanks for the memories.

Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

Thanks for the comment and anecdotes Mary, very much appreciated.

At least you did see the King, in the flesh, however briefly. :)

Of his films my two favourites are Jailhouse Rock and King Creole.

You have put together an excellent collection of Elvis posters....you might find this hard to believe....but I have never seen a single Elvis movie....I have seen a few scenes of a few movies.....but never have I watched an entire Elvis movie.

I do know that every single Elvis movie was profitable....how many movie stars can make that claim? So do you agree with the IMDB ratings as to which Elvis movie is the best ones to watch?

Voted up and awesome.....from your Montreal friend.

Thanks Bruce, appreciate the comment, info and confession.

Can't believe you've never seen an Elvis movie and I'm only a few years older than you. Songs not your cup of tea? :)

Looking at the IMDB ratings the highest ratings are at the beginning of his movie career and the last two concert movies which I agree with.

I think Blue Hawaii was his biggest hit in the 60's or was it Viva Las Vegas?

Thanks as always for posting amigo.

I have always stayed away from horror movies and musicals for some reason....but I will watch a musical before I watch a horror movie. I just recently watched about 20 Fred Astaire movies....thanks to Hub Pages.....so maybe I will do an Elvis marathon in the near future....and I will be sure to start with Blue Hawaii and Jailhouse Rock.

The warden threw a party in the county jail

The prison band was there and they began to wail

The band was jumpin' and the joint began to swing

You should've heard them knocked-out jailbirds sing

20 Fred Astaire movies? wow. Jailhouse Rock and Blue Hawaii would be an interesting double bill. The moody and serious Elvis along with the cheerful musical Elvis. :)

Thanks for posting Bruce.
