Antique Postcard Images From My Personal Collection - Birds

The first set of postcards in this hub has to be my favorite set. What I especially love about them are the lace borders around the cards, as well as the rich colors. Some of these cards have postmarks from 1910 and 1911. I couldn't imagine sending these delicate cards through the mail today. They are marked with "Series 6300" in the lower left corner on the back.

Two of the cards from the following set are postmarked 1913. All but one are marked with "Series 238" and then a letter, with one marked "Series 243 C".

The next cards shown are not part of sets but simply various cards with images of birds. The intense colors just amaze me. Doves and swallows seemed to be popular subjects for postcard images. Of all the cards with birds, they are definitely the most prolific.

This one has a postmark of 1903 and is one of the older ones.

This one has a beautiful gold background which, unfortunately, didn't scan very well.

beautiful postcards. If you sell them at ebay, you are going to fetch a hefty price for a postcard. Voted beautiful.

Thanks so much peachpurple. I have no intentions of selling these. I do put on exta's and duplicates for sale every so often though.

Thank you so much for making these beautiful cards available. I'm going to use them to make greetings cards for our church to send to those who are home-bound, in nursing homes, etc.
