Lost in Reverie

I love watching someone lost in a state of dreamy meditation. I feel like hitchhiking on their musing, following the paths it may take. If only we could tap into the dream state of others, go to places they go to ( and hope it is a pleasant one!).

Do you daydream? Do you lose yourself in a pleasant reverie, a state of fanciful meditation, hopping on clouds, racing among cornfields, wading through waves?

Do you dream alone or wish you could take someone with you on those musings?

How wonderful would it be if we could take along the one we love with us to those hazy places.

While watching someone daydream may bring a smile to your face, it can be frustrating too. Wishing you could read their thoughts, wishing you could bring some of it home, surprise them by making some of their daydreams come true...

When I saw these paintings of the artistic couple Michael and Inessa Garmash, I was hooked on their ability to capture together the pleasant state of reverie. What is fascinating is the art of co-creation, how two of them could a bring a painting to life - the ability of each other to see into their individual daydreams, perhaps.

I fell in love with these Daydreamers...

Daydreamer

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Flying high in the clouds she may

Wander on the pastures white

See the gold of sunshine bright

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Drifting close to the waves she may

Sail away on the oceans blue

Looking for some pastures new

Is there a place, is there a place

In the dreams that fill your mind

Will your memories still be kind

Is there a place, is there a place

For an image of me still there

Are there dreams for me to share

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Walking along the garden she may

Run her hands on the petals soft

Sending bees into flight aloft

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Hugging legs on the couch she may

Stare into the night so deep

Counting stars still she falls asleep

Is there a place, is there a place

In the dreams that fill your mind

Will your memories still be kind

Is there a place, is there a place

For an image of me there

Are there dreams for me to share

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Sitting close to the piano she may

Play the keys till they sing sweet

Making songs that my ears greet

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Looking into the mirror she may

Try on all her rainbow shades

Dancing till her sorrow fades

Is there a place, is there a place

In the dreams that fill your mind

Will your memories still be kind

Is there a place, is there a place

For an image of me still there

Are there dreams for me to share...

Fell in love with a daydreamer

Watching seagulls in air she may

Wish to join them in the glide

Letting thoughts of me slip and slide...

Michael and Inessa Garmash

Romantic Impressionists Michael and Inessa Garmash have been creating wonderful together much to the delight of art lovers worldwide.

Michael ( Mikhail) was born in a little town of Lugansk in Ukraine in 1969. He showed early promise when he started drawing and painting at the age of three. At school his art astounded his teachers who encouraged him to enter many competitions. Michael was winning the appreciation of panels and juries ever since. Early wins and exhibitions were across the Eastern block countries, mainly the then Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and many more. After graduation in Lugansk, Michael began teaching art.

Inessa Kitaichik was born in Lipetsk, Russia. A passionate artist since her childhood, she also excelled in ballet, music and gymnastics. She entered the Lugansk school art at 15 and continued in her journey of becoming an artist. The meeting of Michael and Inessa was artworld's blessing.

In a curious incident Inessa secretly 'fixed' a piece of Michael's painting when their daughter playfully painted over it. when Michael discovered this secret act of repair, it occured to both of them how they could collaborate together. They never looked back. Now their wonderful work is sought after and exhibited all over the world.

What a beautiful poem! To fall inove with a day dreamer is a wonderful thing. I love this art and poetry series you create. The artists and their paintings are beautiful and Iove them too. These are so ethereal. As you say the dreaminess comes through their paintings. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I have bookmarked this hub, Mohan, so I may return to it again and again and feast on the delights of the creative work by these three superlative artists: Mikhail Garmash, Inessa nee Kitaichik Garmash, and (drum roll here, please) ... Mohan Kumar.

You, dear Docmo, have exceeded any standard that could possibly exist for producing a spectacularly beautiful and emotional piece of art with this hub. The emotion is almost palpable. Trust me.

Voted way, way up and sharing all over the place. :)
