Creatures of the Night -- Wood Carvings by Otto Long
Carvings By Otto Long
Creatures of the Night
At the 17th Annual North Carolina Tattoo Convention, I had the good fortune to sit down with artist Otto Long to discuss his life and work. Otto is well known in the NC Triad area for his hand-carved, wooden skull and totem art. Otto creates his skull themed art out of a love for tattooing and tattoo art. While he's glad to be accepted by the larger artistic community, Otto makes his "Creatures of the Night" for tattooed people.
Scroll down to see pictures of Otto's wood carvings displayed at the convention, and at Little John's Tattoo.

"When I die, I want to be known for skull art. That's my goal. I want tattoo people to have my stuff, that's why I make it." -- Otto Long
