A Summertime Beachtime Scrapbook Layout

The photos of a child's first or frequent visit to the beach on the ocean or at a lake is magical to say the least.

This past summer (is it already gone again...) I had the fortune to take my granddaughter to the ocean and after our visit began to construct the scrapbook layout for this visit.

Choosing the photos was easy...her first view of that vast ocean, playing in the surf, going all the way into the ocean, having fun in the sand...it was amazing to say the least. The smells and wind I can't reproduce but her pure joy and childish playtime was easy to show with these 3 fun, "beachy" shapes using Cricut's Simply Charmed cartridge.

When I have the photos and shapes adhered to the scrapbook layout I will share that on this Hub also. But before those summertime photos get filed in a box somewhere, consider creating a scrapbook layout using this Cricut cartridge.

What you Need

Cricut Cartridge: Simply Charmed

  • Undeniably the most used cartridge in my collection

Cricut machine blade depth: 4 for heavyweight, 3 for lightweight cardstock

Cricut machine pressure: Max

Cricut machine speed: Medium

Heavyweight cardstock paper in Solid colors (solid core if you can get it- no white edges)

Lightweight cardstock paper in a Pattern

Paper Cutter (I use Cricut's Trimmer) which is included in the Essential's Kit.

Adhesive (I use a 2-way glue made by Zig) This glue has a sponge applicator which makes applying even the tiniest spot of glue easy.
