There are a lot of great movies here but my favorite is The Christmas Carol (it's also my favorite version with Alastair Sim. My favorite poster is Howard Hughes Son of Sinbad!

David, Mhatter99, thanks for the comments, always appreciated.

Loved that Son of Sinbad poster. the film was a silly B-movie worth seeing for Vincent Price as a wise-cracking poet with an eye for the ladies and for all the scantily clad harem girls who always seem to be dancing, there's even a naughty pole dance in one scene. Mr. Hughes must have really enjoyed the casting couch on this one.

Thanks for posting.

Random thoughts while looking at your poster hub. (1) I thought the son of Ali Baba was Aladdin...maybe Kashma is an older brother. (2) That is the strangest looking James Stewart poster that I have ever seen (3) DArby O'Gill...the first time Sean Connery experienced a successful movie...imagine how big his picture would have been on the poster if the movie was made after Dr. No. (4) Journey to Center of the Earth..is easily Pat Boone's best movie....but then again did he make any other movies? (5) Steve Reeves...the Arnold of the 1960s (6) I just recently after your recommendation just watched Jason and the Argonauts....and I liked it. (7) So which came first...I Dream of Jeannie the tv show or The Brass Bottle the movie...not up to date on my Barbara Eden trivia (8) I see you got some Vincent Price movies in another hub...lol. (9) I remember when I had such a crush on Raquel Welch....and then she appeared on the tv show Mork and Mindy. (10) Mary Poppins is a classic and one we watch about once a year. (11) It is stunning that Doctor Dolittle got 9 Oscar Nominations....that movie is really really bad....and is one of the Golden Turkey winners for worst movie of all-time. (12) The Love Bug 1968? wow I did not know Lindsay Lohan was that old...I would have thought she would have gotten her act together by now.

Excellent hub that was enjoyable and fun to read and view...voted up and across the board.

Thanks Bruce, appreciate the comment, observations and votes.

Steve Reeves was one of Arnolds idols, Reg Park too. Christopher Lee appeared as the baddie in Hercules in the Haunted World which was directed by Mario Bava and one of the best of Italy's many "peplum" epics of the 60's.

I think the Brass Bottle was before I Dream of Jeannie.

Raquel Welch posing in that fur bikini was one of the bestselling posters of the 1960s.

Son of Ali Baba contains the infamous quote from Tony Curtis "Yonda lies da castle of my fodda" or something like that. :)

Jason and the Argonauts is a big favourite of mine and I must have watched it countless times since I was a wee lad. Still not on blu-ray here in the UK.

Thanks for posting!

Steve...This is a really fantastic group of posters....I enjoyed scrolling as usual and reading all the names of days long gone.....but I think I'm realizing a few things from all your hubs.....It's not too difficult to "guess" the era just by the looks of the posters themselves...without you listing the years or seeing the cast members... These were definitely '50's-'60's....I'm really getting into your terrific poster hubs, Steve!

Thank you Paula, appreciate the kind words. I must have covered most of the classics by now. There are still quite a few famous actors and actresses I want to do poster hubs on. Looking at my stats the James Stewart poster hub has been getting lots of views recently, so glad these old actors haven't been forgotten.
