The posters make them seem more exciting than they really are. ;)

Thanks for posting Mhatter99.

Bogart was the man. It seems that I have been watching a lot of Bogart films over the last few months. I just saw Virginia City the other day....he plays a Mexican with a tiny mustache....yet the poster shows him looking very American...makes me wonder if the poster artist even saw the movie before doing the poster.

Another thing I notice when I am watching his movies......I keep talking to the screen....telling him to stop smoking so many cigarettes...if only I could go back in time and convince him to give up that nasty habit....can you believe that Bacall has been his widow for almost 60 years....but she is still around.

Great posters on a great actor....I especially liked The Return of Dr. X....I know he hated that movie....but the poster makes the movie look promising. Voted up and across the board....Cagney, Bogart....is Cary Grant coming soon?

"The uh shtuff that dreamsh are made of.." Thanks Bruce, your comment, observation, vote and preferences are appreciated amigo.

I can't imagine Bogart not smoking in his films, in those days smoking supposedly made you look more masculine, nowadays it makes you look like you have a death wish. :)

Check out Bogarts head shot in the To Have and Have Not and The Big Sleep posters, suspiciously similar?

Oddest poster has to be the French one for Chain Lightning which makes it look like Bogie's starring in a sci-fi film.

Bogart appeared in nearly 80 films, I picked 40 for the hub.

Cary Grant will be in the next bunch

Thanks as always for posting.

If I hadn't used so many foreign posters we'd have seen that same head shot in other films too. :)

So Bogey struggled until 1941 until he got top billing and never looked back, did he? But to be billed after the "Dead End Kids"-- wow that had to hurt. Hey I noticed the Italian poster for "We're No Angels" has Bogey's name switched with Ustinov!

I wonder how James Cagney felt seeing the bad guy in many of his films turn into an iconic Hollywood hero? :)

Yes why did they switch Bogarts name with Ustinovs in that poster? Doesn't make sense especially with the head shots on top of each name.
