An excellent collection of Cagney films....I got a kick out of seeing how small Bogart was on the posters of the Cagney/Bogart movies.....it is amazing that Bogart struggled so long before he became a star.

Mister Roberts is my favorite Cagney movie....although I do not think the poster does the movie justice. On the opposite of that.....I think the poster for The Oklahoma Kid is way better than the movie itself....seeing Bogart and Cagney playing gangsters in a western just does not sit well.

Voted up and awesome.....a fantastic tribute to one of the great screen legends.

Thanks for commenting Bruce, always appreciated.

All the Mister Roberts posters have been pretty similar to that one, even the Japanese version.

What I'm trying to do is not repeat the same posters I've used before on other topics, which means checking out previous hubs and seeing what I've posted.

If its an actor poster hub I choose the ones that show the star prominently on the poster, if it's a genre hub than the star or stars don't have to feature heavily on the poster. These are just my guidelines.

James Cagney has appeared in over 60 films, I chose about 30 noteworthy movies.

I wasn't going to include 'Run for Cover' but when I saw that poster in it went.

Thanks for posting.
