I didn't care for the remake of Babes in Toyland...as cheesy as the original is I love it and so do my children and so do my grandchildren! You've got an eclectic mix of movies here with lots of musicals. I didn't think anybody remembered Robin and the Seven Hoods....Mister Booze, Mister Booze, Mister B double O, z, e...just one of many songs. Of course Camelot was a favorite and The Sound of Music needs nothing more said. My son met the surviving Van Trapp's when he was in Austria and they were performing....Oliver, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (I still sing that to my grandson)...and Goodbye Mr. Chips is incomparable! Oh and West Side Story, 'nuff said, its the best.

Oh dear, I could write forever on this hub and the choice of wonderful movies!! Voted up, useful, awesome, and interesting, oh and shared with my followers....I know many of them are going to love this one!

Not a fan of Musicals... but if you count A Hard Day's Night... well, that's different! I haven't seen many of these, but, frankly, I found West Side Story really kind of creepy. Now, I admit to seeing and enjoying The Sound Of Music but A) I was just a kid B) There were Nazis and C) the oldest daughter was hot.

Mary, David, thanks for commenting, voting and sharing, much appreciated.

Mary, this is one poster hub I'm sure you've seen more films than I have and probably David too. :)

You can tell I was a little lost with 60's musicals there are all varieties here, even Cliff Richard makes an appearance. And Tommy Steele is all over the place. :)

David I like the Sound of Music too but have to admit to preferring West Side Story, Leonard Bernstein's score is outstanding.

I'll be even more lost with the 70's musicals... I'll stick to the MGM classics of the 40's and 50's.

Thanks for posting

Thanks Carol, I'm glad you like them. Looking at old posters can get you nostalgic, the 60's was a transitional decade.

OK...I can get into this, Steve. Simply love musicals.....all of them, any of them. I have to confess though, "West Side Story," has to be my all-time favorite. I was fortunate enough to see this fabulous musical, LIVE, more than once. Of course, it goes without saying, I've watched the movie version, over and over again. The music score is the best!...

I am familiar with all that you list here in Posters......some, more than others. Bye Bye Birdie is another I like a lot.

Great hub, Steve. Thanks for the work you put into these hubs!! UP+++

Thanks for posting!

Another winning hub. I think you know that I have not seen many musicals...but I have seen 8 of the ones you listed....granted I saw 6 of them because they won major Oscars....The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Oliver, My Fair Lady, Funny Girl and West Side Story.....but I have also seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang(although it has been years since I saw that one) and Paint Your Wagon(who can resist a Clint Eastwood musical?....lol).

I actually was looking at Debbie Reynold's movie career and saw that The Unsinkable Molly Brown was one of her bigger box office hits as well as her only Oscar nominated performance.

Great posters throughout the hub....voted up and interesting...you have been a very busy hubber this week.....keep up the great work.
