My recent photography work

My recent photography work

I decided to do this on some of my least photos that I’ve taken and posted online a number of sites. I love to take photos of almost anything that moves or stands still for that matter. My camera is almost always with me everywhere I go, it not often left at home. I’m still learning to take better photos, taken them at different angles, different times of day, in light or dark. There are so many things you can and I love to take, it almost seems never ending to what photo you could take. On top of taking photos I enjoyed playing with photo editing software, sometimes this can really bring your work to life.

London

I was recently in London for the Olympic Games and spend some time around London. We went up to Westminster and Big Ben, now if you know London and Westminster, when you come out the tube station Big Ben is right in front of you, you can’t miss it. In this shot of Big I was so close and with the wrong lens I had to take it at this angle. Now it wasn’t until I got home I noticed, that if you look at Big Ben there seem to be a man on the side, in the big work, arms starched out, you can make out his face and body. He also looks like he’s got a beard too. I've tried to Google it but didn’t get an answer.

While I was in London you have to do Buckingham Palace, I made this into black and white but leaving the guards men in colour and fading the edges to give this effect.

Devon

I recently was in Devon, my children live in Plymouth so I’m there often. We went out to a small sea side village with a nice little harbour. The sea had gone out when I took this shot of the boats waiting for the sea to come back and rescue them.

While I was in the little sea side village there are always sea gulls around and this sea gull wanted his photo taken.

Flowers

I love taking photos of flowers for Marco work and rain on them too. I took this photo a number of times before I was happy with the results.

Like I say flowers and Macro work I do love, and I do love the way this photo turned out after a little bit of editing to give it something.

Dark and light

This photo I took on my way home from work one early morning a few weeks ago. I’ve taken this photo some many times I’ve lost count. It wasn’t until then I got the shot I’ve been looking for. With digital photographer you can take and re-take until you have the shot you are wanting.

Thank you for taking time to view my work, if you want to see any more of my work find me on RedGage.com under kevin1877uk, take care and have fun :)

Wow, these photos are gorgeous! You have a great eye and a unique creative flare. I've recently started doing more with still photography because of the food hubs I write, but unfortunately I'm not a photographer at heart. I take my hat off to you! : )

Beautiful photography. They're all great, but the tree is my favorite. I love the lighting in it.
